Talk to us.
The quickest way to see Festival Buddy is with your own lineup in it. Send a CSV of last year’s bill, or just say hello. We reply by email.
Questions organisers ask
What do we need to supply?
A lineup as a CSV with four columns: Date, Time, Stage, Artist. Add Category, Genre, Description and Apple Music or Spotify links if you have them; if not, Backstage fills in artwork and listen links automatically. A site map image and your FAQ text if you want those in the app too.
How quickly can it be live?
The app is already on the App Store and Google Play, so for Standard the work is loading your lineup, checking it and publishing. That is days, not months. White label needs a separate store submission under your name, so allow longer for store review.
What about changes on the day?
Edit the listing in Backstage and publish. Phones pick up the change the next time they have a signal. No app-store release, no update to install. Push notifications can tell people what changed.
Does it really work with no signal?
Yes. Everything downloads the first time the app opens, ideally at home on Wi-Fi. On site the lineup, maps, FAQ and the person's own plan need no connection. Changes and ratings sync whenever a signal returns.
What data do we see, and what do you collect?
You see aggregate counts and averages: adds, reach, ratings, usage by day, optionally by age band and gender where people chose to say. Never names, emails or individual behaviour. The app has no adverts, no ad SDKs, no cross-app tracking and no location. The full policy is public.
What does it cost?
Contact us for prices. There are two options: Standard, your festival inside the Festival Buddy app, and White label, a separately branded app under your own name and icon. Both include Backstage access, support through the weekend and a season report.
What is the difference between Standard and White label?
Standard puts your festival inside the Festival Buddy app, which people may already have from another festival. White label is the same engine published on both stores under your festival's name, icon and colours, with your brand throughout. Everything else is identical.
We run more than one festival. Does that work?
Yes. One Backstage handles many festivals and many years; each has its own dates, stages, lineup and stats. Your team's logins cover all of them.
Who supports our attendees?
We do. People can report a problem or an inaccuracy from inside the app; it reaches us with the app version attached. Inaccuracies also appear in Backstage so your team can fix the listing directly.
How do the two rating methods work?
Stars on an artist, before: how much someone wants to see the act. "How was this set?", after: how it actually went. Both are optional. Together they show which acts to book again and which surprised people, in your season report.
